BBG appoints leader of new DC office; developer Creation bolsters executive ranks; Suffolk hire targets tech projects
Commercial real estate valuation and assessment firm BBG opened a new office in Washington, D.C. It's led by Bruce Davis, director of the company's Northeast division. Davis brings more than 30 years of valuation and consulting experience across multiple property categories.
Davis joined Dallas-based BBG after serving as president of Appraisal Source, a firm he founded with offices in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Washington. BBG operates more than 50 offices nationwide and employs more than 500 valuation professionals.
Commercial project developer Creation Equity, with headquarters in Phoenix and Dallas and a regional office in Tampa, Florida, said it appointed Alex Bez as chief operating officer and Eric Boyd as chief investment officer. Bez previously served as a principal at Creation, and before that, he worked at JPMorgan Chase Asset Management. Boyd joined Creation after 19 years with CrossHarbor Capital Partners.
Boston-based Suffolk Construction hired Kevin Quigley as executive vice president of enterprise strategy, as the general contractor builds its nationwide project business in fast-growing categories such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, data centers and education. Quigley spent more than a decade at law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart, serving as a principal in the litigation department and advising Eli Lilly, among other major life science and technology companies.
New hires, promotions and other personnel changes
National multifamily investor and developer AvalonBay Communities appointed Conor Flynn to its board of directors, serving as an independent director for the Arlington, Virginia-based company. Flynn is CEO of Jericho, New York-based Kimco Realty Corp., a prominent real estate investment trust focused on retail properties.
Equity Residences, an investor in luxury properties such as high-end houses, resorts and ski destinations, named Brandon Cassagnol as vice president of portfolio management. Cassagnol previously worked at Inspirato, managing operations and portfolio strategies for upscale vacation homes for more than a decade. San Diego-based Equity also has operations in London.
Bethesda, Maryland-based Federal Realty Investment Trust named Joseph Fisher to its board of trustees, effective Jan. 1. Fisher, a 20-year industry veteran, previously held top executive roles at multifamily investment firm UDR, including president and chief financial officer. Retail-focused Federal Realty said Fisher will serve on its trustee board committees overseeing audit, compensation and human resource matters.
Hudson Valley Property Group, a firm focused on affordable housing investment and development, promoted Sheffin Joseph to director of tax credit development and preservation and Craig Sudan to associate director of investments. The New York-based firm said the promotions of Joseph and Sudan are part of a realignment of its acquisitions team.
Build-to-suit development and investment firm FD Stonewater announced the planned retirement of principals Joseph Delogu and David Stade, effective Dec. 31. Delogu and Stade are two of the Arlington, Virginia, company's co-founders.
