General Iron Industries is finally putting up for sale its dormant 21.5-acre Chicago industrial site, which is roughly the size of the city’s most popular tourist attraction, Navy Pier, in a move that could precipitate more development near Sterling Bay’s $6 billion Lincoln Yards, one of the largest real estate projects ever planned for the North Side.
