$200M Development Project Underway in New Braunfels

Partnership Plans to Convert 265 Acres into the Creekside--a Mixed-Use Destination Set to Deliver in 2008

Iowa-based Lockard Development and Austin-based Texas Commercial Investments Inc. have teamed up to develop 265 acres in New Braunfels, TX into the Creekside, a $200 million mixed-use project to include a marketplace and a recreational area. The site is at the northeast corner of I-35 and Loop 306, 45 minutes north of San Antonio. The Creekside consists of approximately 1 million square feet of retail to include specialty retailers, restaurants, and a cinema; 335,000 square feet of hospitality; 666,000 square feet of medical space to include a 325-bed hospital and 81,000 square feet of medical office space; 317,000 square feet of warehouse; multifamily housing (375 units); and spa/health club. Thirty-one acres will be developed into a family fun park. Parking needs are estimated for 7,252 spaces.
