Forrest Askew III joined Cushman & Wakefield as director of brokerage for the commercial real estate services firm’s Orlando, Jacksonville and Stuart markets in Florida. In his new role, Askew will support and develop brokerage talent, foster a strong sales culture, recruit within strategic service lines and strengthen client relationships, Cushman said.
Based in Orlando, Askew brings over 20 years of brokerage, corporate real estate and institutional ownership experience to the role. He joined Cushman from Link Logistics, where he oversaw a 20 million-square-foot portfolio of industrial properties and led the firm’s leasing strategy across Central and North Florida and managed broker relationships, tenant negotiations and market strategy. He serves on the board of the Central Florida chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, formerly known as NAIOP, and holds the CCIM designation.
Chicago-based Brennan Investment Group said it expanded into Phoenix with the selection of Matt Field as senior vice president to lead the private real estate investment firm’s industrial real estate expansion efforts throughout the region. With 15 years of commercial real estate experience, he's worked on over $7 billion of real estate transactions and financing deals and has held leadership positions at Bridge Investment Group, Ryan Cos. and Douglas Emmett.
Christian Clark joined Goulston & Storrs' litigation practice at the firm’s New York office. The commercial litigator advises corporations, boards, financial institutions, insurers and other clients on a variety of disputes involving contracts, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, joint ventures, securities and class actions.
He joins the firm after practicing with two international law firms and has experience from across a range of industries.
Wood Partners added Micah Conn to serve as the managing director of the national multifamily developer’s South Florida office. He will oversee all aspects of development across the region, including origination, entitlements, design, capitalization and construction management, the Atlanta-based firm said. With over 20 years of experience, Conn previously served as a senior vice president at AvalonBay Communities, now known as Vivmark Residential.
Arrow Real Estate Advisors said it appointed Ari Mandelbaum as a director to boost the firm’s commercial real estate finance, origination and capital markets capabilities. Bringing over a decade of commercial real estate experience to the role, Mandelbaum has arranged several billion dollars in U.S. Housing and Urban Development-insured and bridge financing deals throughout his career that includes prior roles at Greystone and Dwight Capital.
Industrial outdoor storage real estate investment firm Steel Peak hired Eli Ray to serve as acquisitions director to help drive the company’s Dallas, Texas, expansion plan. In this role, he will lead sourcing, underwriting, deal structuring and execution, and leasing efforts, in addition to acting as the managing broker for the firm’s Texas markets, Steel Peak said. Ray will be based in Dallas and joins from Dalfen Industrial, where he served as market lead for the central U.S.
Covington, Louisiana-based Stirling added Travis Thornton, Alexis Davis and Spencer Trussell to the firm’s Baton Rouge advisory team. Thornton, who joined as a senior adviser, brings his experience specializing in industrial and investment properties. He serves as chairman of the St. George Chamber of Commerce and sits on the St. George Planning and Zoning Commission in Baton Rouge.
Both Davis and Trussell joined Stirling as advisers. Davis, who previously worked at Century 21 Investment Realty, will assist clients across commercial real estate transactions and property types, Stirling said. Trussell specializes in industrial properties and investment sales; he previously worked at CMC Corporate Solutions.
