Downtown Toronto’s Hotels Strike Gold During Mineral and Mining Convention

Revenue Per Available Room Exceeds $500 for the First Time

Early month, the annual Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention was held in downtown Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Throughout the event, revenue per available room, or RevPAR, a key performance metric for the hotel industry, exceeded $500 for the first time on record. Additionally, on days two and three of the event, Toronto hotels recorded their highest-ever average daily rates at $592 and $588, respectively.
