Barbara Göttling
Barbara Göttling has been named as general manager of the 73-room Mandarin Oriental, Munich. She started the position on May 1 and arrives from the same role at the same hotel firm’s 99-room Mandarin Oriental, Prague. Her career also has seen her work for Accor and Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Jill van Rest
Jill van Rest has been promoted to general manager of the Strand Palace, a 788-room hotel on The Strand in London that links Trafalgar Square and Aldwych. She has been at the hotel since July 2019, beginning as operations manager before been promoted for the first time to hotel manager.
Jessica Southworth
Jessica Southworth has been promoted by parent company Troo Hospitality as cluster sales and marketing director for the 40-room Stock Exchange Hotel, Autograph Collection, and 133-room Hotel Football, Old Trafford, Tribute Portfolio, both in Manchester. She arrives from more than a decade at the firm and the Hotel Football, most recently in the role of director of sales and marketing.
Rui Diogo
Rui Diogo has been promoted to head of Spain and Portugal, hotels transactions, capital markets, at business consultancy JLL. He has been at the firm since 2017, with roles in both London and Madrid.
Anneli Pedersen
Anneli Pedersen has been named hotel manager at the 109-room Four Points Flex by Sheraton Vejle, in Vejle, Denmark, a hotel owned by Core Hospitality. She arrives after more than nine years as front-office manager and restaurant manager at Arp-Hanson Hotel Group.
Annie Kristi Korsmo
Annie Kristi Korsmo has been appointed chair of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Europe sales advisory board. Since August 2023, she has worked as director of sales at Nordic Hotels & Resorts.
Yasmin Boromand
Yasmin Boromand has been named as group director of people and culture by Iconic Hotels & Resorts, whose portfolio includes the 48-room Cliveden House, 72-room Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa and 135-room Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club. Her previous experience includes positions with Dream International B.V. and the Dorchester Collection.
Josh Littman
Josh Littman has been named as head of development, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Langham Hospitality Group. A veteran of the hotel industry, Littman has more than 25 years of hotel experience at such firms as AECOM, Hard Rock International; IHG Hotels & Resorts, and, most recently, Starwood Hotels.
Alejandra Resa Abad
Alejandra Resa Abad has been appointed as a director at hotel business advisory RLA Global. A Spanish native now based in Abu Dhabi, Abad’s previous role was hotel manager at Mallorca-based IT Mallorca Unique Spaces.
Yotel names three new positions
Ryan Dance has been promoted to Yotel's senior vice president of commercial strategy from his former position at the company as global vice president, business performance. Paul Harnedy has joined Yotel as chief operating officer after his previous role at Cedar Capital Partners as executive vice president and head of asset management. Michael Whitehead has also been promoted to Yotel's senior vice president of people, talent and learning from his position as area vice president, human resources.
Fabrice Moizan
Fabrice Moizan has been appointed president and managing director of the 190-room Hotel Le Bristol, Paris, part of the Oetker Hotel Group. He will start on Oct. 1. His last role, also at Oetker, was as general manager of the Eden Rock-St Barths.
