Tesla has signed a 10-year lease with Stonemont Financial Group, the owners of Gulfcoast Industrial Campus, further boosting the electric car manufacturer's presence in Florida.
Tesla leased 44,800 square feet of space at the Gulfcoast Industrial Campus, located at 16180 Lee Road in Fort Myers, Florida, for its new regional repair facility. This lease was recognized as the Lease of the Year in Southwest Florida as part of the 2023 CoStar Impact Awards, which were judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
The new facility is near Interstate 75, just 15 minutes from the Tesla dealership on the corner of Colonial Boulevard and Colonial Center Drive. It is able to serve Tesla customers from Charlotte and Collier counties.
Florida is among the top states in the country for Tesla ownership. Tampa and Sarasota also have the only other official Tesla service centers on Florida's west coast.
