Xavier Mufraggi

Mufraggi is the new CEO at Generator Hotels. His previous hotel industry experience has been at Club Med, where he spent almost 16 years, 10 of which was as CEO, North America and Caribbean. He is also a former global managing director at Chinese firm Fosun.

Claire Griffiths

Griffiths has been named trade relations manager for the United Kingdom market at operator Ella Resorts, which has five resorts in Greece on the islands of Corfu, Crete and Rhodes. Most recently, she was associate director at Saranta Associates and before that was once been employed at Grecotel Hotels & Resorts.

Bob Fairweather

Fairweather is the new general manager at the 232-room The Queens Hotel in Leeds, opened by Pandox AB. This follows a stint at the 218-room The Queen in Chester, now part of Accor brand Handwritten Collection, where he also took charge of hotels in Liverpool, Preston and Wrexham.

Anna Fedou

Fedou has been promoted to chief commercial officer at boutique hotel group Beaumier, which has hotels in France, Spain and Switzerland. She moved up from her role as head of brand and marketing, which she began in June 2024. Earlier in her career, she worked for Sofitel Hotels & Resorts.

Guido Fredrich

Fredrich has returned to Hyatt Hotels Corp. as vice president of development, luxury and lifestyle for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He worked previously at Hyatt as regional vice president of acquisitions and development, but for the last two years, he has been chief development officer at Corinthia Hotels.

Nils-Arne Schroeder

Schroeder has been named as the chief operating officer at Langham Hospitality Group. A veteran hotelier, Schroeder has previously worked as senior vice president, operations, Europe and Africa, for Raffles and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and as senior vice president, operations, Asia, Middle East and Africa, again at Fairmont. He also has worked at hotel firms Conrad and Hilton.

Murray Scott

Scott has joined The Standard, London, as general manager. The hotel, in the King’s Cross district of London, has 292 rooms. He joins the hotel after roles as general manager and cluster general manager, respectively, at the 220-room The Hoxton, Holborn, and the 210-room The Hoxton, Shoreditch, and NH Hotel Group.

Stuart Hookins

Hookins is the new estates director at publicly listed hotel firm Whitbread, which owns, among other brands, Premier Inn. He takes over the position from Simon Hobbs, who has retired after 20 years or so at the firm. Hookins' previous role was as group property director at Royal Mail Group.

Katie Farrell

Farrell is the new chief commercial at eight-hotel, Dublin-based firm The Doyle Collection, which operates properties in Ireland and the U.K. She arrives following more than a decade as the director of sales and marketing at one of Doyle’s hotels, the 201-room Westbury.

Markus Harder

Harder has joined Berlin-based A&O Hostels as chief financial officer. He is new to the hotel industry, his career until now seeing him in banking, IT, finance and investment.

Lewis Corby

Corby has joined business advisory Colliers as head of hotel capital markets, U.K. He arrives from 17 years at peer business consultancy CBRE where he also specialized in hotels in two roles: director of investment properties and then as senior director. He started his career as a valuer at CBRE Hotels.
