Chompies, a chain of bagel restaurants, signed a lease for 41,321 square feet of space at 220 South 9th St. in Phoenix. The company will use its portion of the 89,310-square-foot industrial building for its commissary production. Upper Crust Bakery vacated the space last summer. Chompies signed a 10-year lease valued at a little less than $2.5 million and will move in at the beginning of October. Pete Klees, Tony Lydon and Brian Lee with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC negotiated for the tenant as well as the landlord, Cabot Industrial Trust.
