The world's largest industrial real estate investment trust is enlivening bland construction walls in the United Kingdom with uplifting messages designed to foster wellness for the researchers, clinicians, patients and visitors who pass the site daily.

San Francisco-based Prologis is working with poet James McInerney to enhance the temporary barriers surrounding 2000 Discovery Drive, a project that is part of Prologis' Cambridge Biomedical Campus located about an hour north of London. Once complete, the property is expected to contain six floors of specialist life sciences facilities, offering a mix of laboratory and office space across around 115,000 square feet.

Twelve poetry boards span long stretches of boarding around the site, displaying inspiring words for all to see and creating a small but meaningful way to celebrate the strength of the human spirit.

"Placemaking isn't just about the buildings – it's about how people experience the spaces around them," Paul Weston, regional head of the U.K. for Prologis, told CoStar News' Jonathan Lehrfeld in an email. "It's a simple way to make the campus feel more human and accessible while construction continues – helping create places that work for both businesses and the wider community."

Prologis expects 2000 Discovery Drive to be ready for occupation next summer.
