Leaders of chapters of two commercial real estate trade groups recently joined their colleagues and industry pros at a networking event that gave them the chance to check out the BMW showroom and collision center underway in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Paulina Kucharska, president-elect of Commercial Real Estate Women, or CREW, Fort Lauderdale-Boca Raton, and Nicholas Mau, president of Certified Commercial Investment Member, or CCIM, Fort Lauderdale-Broward District, helped lead a hard hat tour of the facility with Traci Miller. Miller is an executive with Miller Construction Co., the firm that building the complex for Holman's Lauderdale BMW of Pembroke Pines.
The 37,350-square-foot showroom at 14800 Sheridan St. will include office space, break rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase vehicles throughout the building. Miller Construction said the project, scheduled to be completed later this year, also will include 113 parking spaces and upgraded sidewalks around the perimeter of the showroom.
The joint CCIM-CREW event attracted a variety of professionals for members seeking to network, said CCIM Fort Lauderdale-Broward District President-elect Candy Yeung. Yeung is a commercial broker at RE/MAX Consultants Realty.
The event included commercial brokers, developers, general contractors, bankers, lenders and attorneys, she said in a LinkedIn post.
She added: "I enjoyed our conversations and love doing my business 'match-making' wonders. Lol."
