Vacancy Continues To Reach New Heights as Recent Leasing Offset by Other Tenants Returning Space to the Market

In the first quarter of 2024, office tenants signed an estimated 4.6 million square feet of leases in Los Angeles, an amount of activity on par with earlier activity. Despite the consistent demand, the recent leasing activity has been insufficient to keep market vacancy from rising further as a large number of existing tenants vacate space or place it on the sublease market.
