Romulus has landed five more tenants at Wimbledon Quarter in south west London, its pioneering retail and leisure makeover of the former Centre Court Shopping Centre close to the famous Grand Slam tennis tournament venue.
Romulus began refurbishment work to reposition the mall as a mixed-use neighbourhood hub after buying it in 2021. It includes an all-weather year-round "community focal point", the Courtyard, set under a retractable roof, mirroring the famous one just up the road at Centre Court at the All England Club.
Amorino, the artisanal gelato brand, has opened at the front of Wimbledon Quarter, overlooking The Broadway. It has 250 boutiques worldwide.
Urban Baristas, the Australian coffee brand, is to open on the ground floor, opposite luxury club Third Space and overlooking the building’s central courtyard.
Chocolatier Hotel Chocolat will open a concept store and Velvetiser café opposite Holland & Barrett and Oliver Bonas later this summer.
So.Shell, the nail and brow salon, will bring its Ukrainian manicure techniques to a new salon on the upper level of Wimbledon Quarter, between hair professionals Toni & Guy and Jacks of London.
Caddi Club, the indoor golf and social experience, opened on Level 2 earlier this month.
Other retail and leisure tenants include luxury health club Third Space, Strong Pilates, children’s gym and activity space The Little Gym, Marks and Spencer, Boots, Holland and Barrett and Oliver Bonas.
Wimbledon Quarter has also signed two office occupiers. Iglu.com, the European online travel agent of cruise and ski holidays, and Nineteen Group, an events and media business. Iglu.com will occupy 4,000 square feet, while Nineteen Group will take 17,000 square feet as its London headquarters. The two companies join flexible coworking hub Huddle, which opened in January 2025.
Dominic Waldron, asset manager at Romulus, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Amorino, Urban Baristas, Hotel Chocolat, So.Shell and Caddi Club to Wimbledon Quarter. Each brand brings something distinctive, from artisanal gelato and Australian-style coffee to indulgent chocolate experiences, premium self-care services and immersive leisure, further enriching our retail, lifestyle and wellness offering. Our commitment to creating a space that serves and reflects the local community remains at the heart of everything we do. With the recent addition of Iglu.com and Nineteen Group to our workspace offering, our vision for Wimbledon Quarter as a vibrant, mixed-use destination for the local community is taking shape.”
Romulus was advised by retail agents Cushman & Wakefield and P-Three, with Cushman & Wakefield and Lewis & Co advising on the office transaction to Nineteen Group.
