Hospitality management firm TPG Hotels & Resorts is doubling down on its experience with independent, boutique and soft-branded hotels with the launch of third-party management division Intera Collection.
According to a company news release, 35% of TPG's national operating portfolio is comprised of independent and boutique hotels in high-leisure destination markets such as Nantucket, Massachusetts; the Florida Keys; Savannah, Georgia; and California's wine country.
Though boutique hotels are a focus of its portfolio, TPG has historically been known for operating branded hotels across all chain scales.
“What is not as well-known is the firm’s expansive footprint and management experience in the independent space,” Ben Perelmuter, president and chief operations officer of TPG Hotels & Resorts, said in the news release. “We have an experienced in-house team of seasoned professionals and a well-established infrastructure dedicated to meeting the unique management demands of the independent space.”
Properties in the Intera Collection will benefit from a fully integrated operations platform with a round-the-clock staffed reservation call center. Executives will also provide services on creative food-and-beverage experiences and amenities to highlight each property's characteristics.
TPG's historical resume is nearing 600 branded, independent, boutique hotels and marinas, totaling 65,000 guest rooms in 42 states.
