SEIU Local 790, San Francisco's second largest union, expanded its San Francisco headquarters. The 30,000-member strong local represents public health workers, BART, School/College Districts as well as other city and county employees. Local 790 renewed its lease at Fox Plaza for an additional three years, and expanded into an additional 4,500 square feet for a total of 15,300 square feet. Mike Tobin of Pacific Union Commercial Union, SEIU Local 790's real estate consultant noted that, "Fox Plaza's location allows the local to serve their membership effectively and efficiently. The solid landlord-tenant relationship, nurtured over the previous 10 years, gave the impetus to successfully close the deal."
