Retail Center Sells for $32 Million

Protea Flower Hill Mall LLC, c/o FHM Asset Management Inc., acquired the Flower Hill Mall in Del Mar, CA. Located at 2630-2750 Via de la Valle and 15770 San Andres Drive, the buyer purchased the retail center for $32.2 million. The buyer agreed to pay approximately $295 per square foot for the 109,000-square-foot retail center. The property was constructed in 1976 and consists of one main building and three freestanding buildings. Howard Schachat, secretary for the buying entity, commented that there were many bidders for the property. Protea represented itself in the transaction. Tom Olson of Wilson Thorn Properties represented the seller, TIP Properties.
