Ed Smith has formally joined BrayFoxSmith, the leading South East and London business space adviser.

Smith joins from his role as BNP Paribas Real Estate's head of national markets office agency.

He is one of the best-known advisers on office leasing, development and investment in the South East and joined the BNPPRE business via its takeover of Strutt & Parker where he was a partner.

Smith told CoStar News he is hitting the ground running working with the team on lease instructions at Urbana Partners' 63 Kew Road and Cervidae's 22 Quadrant, both in London's Richmond-upon-Thames, STR Capital Partners’ Lotus Park in Staines Upon Thames as well Oval’s The Connection office campus in Newbury and Ealing Cross.

Smith said: "Having enjoyed working as part of the partnership at Strutt & Parker for many years, joining BrayFoxSmith may be a smaller partnership but it has that same strength of its collegiate work culture with senior advisers across the board. The stats and performance of the business speaks for itself - it's the best adviser in the M25 and Greater London area."

BrayFoxSmith was launched in 2009 by founders Rob Bray, Pat Fox and Paul Smith. It now has 25 staff including 14 directors and five surveyors.

The group has focused on business space advisory work in London and the South East but in recent times has also launched a residential development advisory platform.
