SD-Gandy LLC of Winter Park, Florida purchased the former Scottys Hardware Inc. located at 4221 West Gandy Blvd. in South Tampa (near the Dale Mabry Highway) for $1.55 million or $34 per square foot. Situated in the heart of the South Tampa retail market, the 4.58-acre property and 45,585 square foot retail building boasts big name neighbors including Winn-Dixie, Target, Publix and Home Depot. With an average of 41,000 vehicles per day and high quality bright lighting, this C-1 zoned real estate is prime for retail and other commercial uses. The building has 18-foot ceilings, is in great condition, contains high quality insulation, and is 100% fire sprinkle protected. The new owner has big retail plans for the site, but the project will not be unveiled until a later date. Richard J. Katz of R.J. Katz & Company of Miami and Bill Bach of Bill Bach Realty of Tampa brokered the deal.
