In a recent report, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that 10,600 new rental apartment units were added to the Montreal region over the last year, the highest level in 30 years. Although 80% of this new supply was completed in suburban markets, vacancy rates remained stable, underscoring continued strong suburban demand.
