High Ranking Law Firm Signs Two Renewals for 126,099 SF

King & Spalding signed a lease renewal for 84,161 square feet at 1730 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, as well as 41,938 square feet at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in Washington, DC. King & Spalding is a national law firm with more than 700 lawyers in Atlanta, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C. The firm represents over one-half of the Fortune 100. Built in 1972, 1730 Pennsylvania Ave. is a 12-story, class-A office building comprised of 239,464 square feet. The building received extensive renovations in 1993. The second property, a 10-story, 145,000-square-foot office building, located at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave., is less than one block west of the White House, and offers a rooftop terrace with unparalleled views of the White House and other monuments. John Benziger and Kimberly Quirante of Cassidy & Pinkard's downtown office represented the law firm. CarrAmerica represented itself in both transactions.
