Despite recent economic headwinds, the recovery in Texas hospitality employment has continued to strengthen since the onset of the pandemic. February data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that employment for accommodations and food-related services, including hotels, added 57,000 jobs from March 2022 to March 2023 within Texas’ four largest metropolitan areas, an increase of 1.5%.
