Cable Giant Buys Manassas Building For Call Center

Comcast, one of the country's largest cable providers, is opening a cable call center in Prince William County, VA. The property at 11101 University Blvd., a 104,678-square-foot office building, sold for an undisclosed amount. The facility, which Comcast will use as a call center, is located in Manassas and features a large training room, cafeteria, fiber optics, a backup UPS system and a PBX with a 10,000-line capacity. Richard Blue of Blue & Obrecht Realty in Baltimore and Jeff Flynn of Spaulding & Slye in Washington, DC, collaborated to represented Comcast in the sale. Sharon Barrett of Liberty-Greenfield LLLP out of Denver, CO, represented the seller, DIECA Communications Inc.
