The Northern California market office of CarrAmerica Realty Corp. has seen its fair share of strong leadership. John Herr, former managing director, left the company in 1999 to fill the role of executive vice president of Lincoln Property Co. Inc. in San Francisco. Leah Segawa, then a vice president at CarrAmerica Development, quickly filled Herr's shoes as managing director. Recently, she stepped down from her position to travel the world and take time off from "corporate USA." Five months later, it is Segawa's shoes that Christopher Peatross gets to fill. Peatross will be responsible for CarrAmerica's entire San Francisco Bay Area office and R&D portfolio, which includes 77 buildings containing 5.4 million square feet. Before joining CarrAmerica, Peatross served as senior vice president for DivcoWest Properties, overseeing the leasing and development of a 9 million-square-foot portfolio of office, R&D and retail properties. Before DivcoWest, Peatross was with Catellus Development Corp. for 3 years, Hunter Properties for 2 years and Spieker Properties for 6 years. Peatross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University.
