Industrial real estate developer Jerry Daws and veteran tenant representative Jeff Nickol, SIOR, have joined together to form a new partnership to be named Republic Property Co. Contrary to the individualized style of handling the development and leasing responsibilities, Daws and Nickol foresee a more blended approach to these roles for Republic. Daws is looking forward to the possibilities, stating, "Jeff's strong base of tenant representation will allow him to transition easily into both the leasing and development responsibilities, and we hope to gain more build-to-suit and development opportunities through Jeff’s many contacts locally and nationwide." Nickol is equally looking forward to the opportunity, saying "I am pleased to be able to capitalize on the strong growth of the company and to be associated with Jerry Daws because of his excellent reputation within the brokerage and development community." The new Republic Property Co. includes Kristy Williams, development manager; Erika Plumer, senior property manager; and Jennifer Viehweg, marketing associate. Republic Property Co. will continue the 3.5 million-square-foot development, management and leasing portfolio garnered by EllisDaws over its brief 2-year history. Major developments include Crossroads Distribution Center, a 940,000-square-foot, 7-building development located in the I-85 Northeast submarket and AirLogistics Center at Hartsfield, a 450,000-square-foot, 3-building development located in the Airport submarket. EllisDaws was dissolved when Tom Ellis left the firm.
