Software Developer Signs Long-Term Lease in Downtown Oakland

Franz Inc., a software developer, signed a 10-year lease for 10,535 square feet on the 14th floor of 555 City Center in downtown Oakland, CA. The privately held company is relocating from Berkeley to Oakland and plans to move into the newly constructed building by August 1st. The City Center is a premier complex that features Class-A office space, an exciting retail layout and spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and the East Bay Hills. The City Center encompasses more 1.5 million square feet of office space and includes 18 restaurants, over 12 retail shops and a complete athletic club. Peter Schubert of Schubert Investments in San Rafael represented the tenant. John Dolby was the in-house representative for the owner/ developer The Shorenstein Company.
