Remax Gives Historic Property New Life

Remax Properties Unlimited, a Morristown- based residential brokerage, purchased a 6,000-square-foot office building at 1 West Madison Avenue for $1.08 million, roughly $180 per square foot. Cited as one of the top 10 endangered landmarks in Morristown by the Daily Record, Remax will renovate and use the facility to house residential agents and administrative staff. Built during the Golden era, the historic Queen Anne style building is one of the millionaire mansions that line Madison Avenue in Morristown. Pat Cunningham of Newmark Associates represented the seller, Madison One Associates, as well as Remax in the acquisition.
