AMD Subleases Appian's Space in Boxborough

Sunnyvale, CA-based AMD has signed a 2-year sublease agreement to occupy 19,540 square feet of 1st floor office space at 80 Central St. in Boxborough, MA. The 3-story, Class-A, 152,917-square-foot office building underwent complete renovation in 1995 and offers state-of-the-art data and telecommunications capabilities. AMD, otherwise known as Advanced Micro Devices, specializes in the production of microprocessors, flash memory devices and support circuitry for communications and networking applications. AMD has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia. It plans to use its Boxborough location as a new design center David Connolly of CB Richard Ellis-NE Partners represented the new tenant. John Wilson and Brian McKenzie of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners represented the sublandlord, Appian Communications.
