The Mrs. Smith's Pie facility, located at 231 Industrial Highway in Pottstown, PA, has been sold to Pottstown Redevelopment Corp. from Icon International Inc. for $5.65 million. The facility is an 11-building complex totaling 476,315 square feet and is situated on 13.5 acres of land. Binswanger/CBB brokered the entire transaction, which amounted to roughly $11.87 per square foot. Mrs. Smith's Pies will continue to run its headquarters and lease the space there for an undetermined period of time. However, the new owner does have future plans to redevelop the property into a mixed-use office and industrial complex. Binswanger/CBB senior vice president Scott Gabrielsen, who brokered the transaction, said, "Along with the borough of Pottstown, Binswanger is very excited about procuring new development blood with this project and transfusing further economic growth into this community."
