Greenway Plaza, Crescent's flagship property in Houston, has been named as one of the top 15 interiorscape programs in the country. Interiorscape, America's leading industry publication for those who design, install, and maintain interior plantscapes, recently recognized the master-planned development in its 2002 Best Project awards. Criteria for the award included a diverse range of skills, creativity, energy, skills, and color. 100 facilities and projects from around the U.S. were selected for consideration, with only 15 achieving Best Project recognition. Greenway Plaza is also the only recognized program in the state of Texas. "We are honored to be the only program in Texas to be named to Interiorscape's list," said Bob Carlen, vice president of property management at Greenway Plaza. "A beautiful work environment is part of what we strive for and what our customers can expect when officing at a Crescent property. Jim Langford, Crescent's manager of grounds and roads, truly expressed his capabilities and attention to detail in the award-winning project." The Greenway Plaza program was a collaboration between Crescent, Plant Magic, Gainey Ceramics, Hines Pottery, and Spencer Florabunda. Greenway Plaza, a 4.3 million square-foot complex, consists of ten office buildings. It is strategically situated between two of Houston's major business centers -- the CBD and Galleria area. The 127-acre master-planned, mixed-use development boasts such amenities as the Shops at Greenway retail and food court, the Houston City Club athletic/dining club, the newly renovated, 389-room Renaissance Houston Hotel, Greenway Plaza Transportation Center (airport shuttle services, limousine, Continental ticketing/reservations), and a full service U.S. Post Office.
