Crate & Barrel Grows to Lower Manhattan

Retailer To Open 2nd Manhattan Store

Crate & Barrel, demonstrating a major commitment to New York City, has leased space for its second Manhattan store at the crossroads of SoHo and NoHo. The home furnishings company leased space in the Cable Building located at 611 Broadway, at Houston St. Gene Spiegelman of Cushman & Wakefield represented Crate & Barrel. Evan Stein of M.D. Carlisle Construction represented the landlord, Cable Building Associates. Crate & Barrel opened its first store in Chicago in 1962. Since then the company has grown to its status as one of the most influential and respected houseware retailers in the U.S. It currently has more than 80 stores in 15 major markets nationwide.
