Located in the heart of Miami'sSouth Beach Art Deco District, the Leslie Hotel was closed this past July as it waited for new ownership. That day has finally come, as the 3-story, 43-unit hotel sold to Urban Group, an Argentine investment group headed by Pablo Umansky. Susan Gale of Wimbish Riteway Commercial represented both Urban Group and the seller, Island Trading, in the transaction, which totaled $4.3 million, an even $100,000 per unit. Urban Group has purchased several hospitality properties in the area recently, and the Leslie Hotel, located at 1244 Ocean Drive, is seen by many as a great asset, considering its prime location and money making potential.
