Naylors Gavin Black, the North East-based property consultancy that works across the UK, has appointed a managing partner.

The group said the appointment would spearhead a new era at the 40-strong business as it sees an expanding client base and increased turnover.

Keith Stewart, who heads the industrial agency team, is taking over from Angus White who has led the business for the last six years.

White will continue as a partner at Naylors Gavin Black, focusing on property and asset management and consultancy, a role he has carried out for 25 years.

Stewart said in a statement: “A succession plan regarding the managing partner position and business has been in the works for some time. It’s an honour to take up this new role. It carries a lot of responsibility and prospects, and I’m excited for the future.

“I’d like to thank Angus who has led the practice to a strong position – and the whole team for their hard work to get us where we are today.

“The business is going through a lot of progressive changes currently. Our office move last year was a catalyst for planning ahead for our future and we have a new ambitious three-year business plan in place.”

The firm, based at One Strawberry Place in Newcastle city centre, provides the full range of commercial real estate services to clients including Buccleuch, Cleveland Cable Company, UK Land Estates, Newcastle International Airport and Aviva, working across the UK.

Naylors Gavin Black is a member of the Commercial Property Network, a collective of privately owned commercial property firms which span the UK.
