Napa in High Spirits

London-based beverage company Diageo, formerly known as Seagrams Wine & Spirits, has signed a 7-year, 32,000-square-foot office lease in Basin Street Properties' Creekside Office Center at 240 Gateway Road West in Napa, CA. Diageo, whose brands include Guinness, Smirnoff, J&B, Baileys, Cuervo, Tanqueray and Malibu, will consolidate its various offices throughout the Peninsula in a move that is due largely in part to Guinness' recent merger with Seagrams. The company's move to Napa Valley Gateway Business Park is expected to be this July. Until then, Diageo is temporarily occupying 15,000 square feet of office space in the same complex at 570 Gateway Drive. Petaluma-based Basin Street Properties owns multiple properties totaling 350,000 square feet in the Napa Valley Gateway Business Park. Currently, their properties are 90% leased with three more buildings totaling 125,000 square feet on the way. Joe Garvey of CLW Real Estate in Tampa, FL represented Diageo in the transaction.
