In one of 2001's largest real estate transactions in the Charleston, SC market, Jupiter Realty Corp. of Chicago acquired a diverse portfolio from Liberty Property Trust. The Malvern, PA-based REIT received approximately $74.25 million for the 13 office and industrial properties. The portfolio includes all of Liberty's holdings at Faber Place in North Charleston, 200 Meeting St. in downtown Charleston, and a 300,000-square-foot warehouse in Berkeley County, north of the city.
