JLL has appointed Russell McMillan, who has 25 years of 'Big Four' consultancy experience to the newly created role of Europe, Middle East and Africa growth and innovation lead.
McMillan will be responsible for "driving growth and innovation across consulting, lease administration and transaction management, with a focus on account integration and cross-practice collaboration, in addition to cultivating strong client relationships".
Based in London, McMillan reports to Lee Daniels, global growth and innovation lead, with the group saying the hire reflects its "evolving global strategy and enhances its existing capabilities in the EMEA region".
JLL added the recruit has built an "exceptional track record advising corporate occupiers, investors, and developers across complex real estate challenges". Most recently he led Deloitte’s private sector occupiers business while serving as a partner.
McMillan also served as HSBC interim chief financial officer of the corporate real estate function, along with previous consultancy positions at PwC and Cushman & Wakefield.
Daniels said in a statement: "An accomplished analytical leader and outcome-focused problem solver, [McMillan] has continuously driven revenue growth through innovative solutions and strong client relationships.
"His appointment brings extensive knowledge of the market to our team which will be invaluable as we expand our business and deliver exceptional client outcomes."
The hire follows the appointment of Karen Osborn as growth and innovation lead for the Americas in March, another addition supporting JLL's global portfolio services strategy.
