South East flex workspace operator Mantle Space hires fractional managing director

Mantle Space, the Cambridge-focused flexible workspace operator, has hired Alexandra Livesey to a new managing director position.

Livesey will head up the company in a fractional role and report to Guy Baker, chief executive and founder of Mantle Space. The firm said she will spearhead operations leading an overall team of 45 and help to grow the company.

Livesey most recently led Clockwise, the international flexible workspace company, for five years, overseeing the its growth across the UK as chief operating officer. Before this, she spent two decades in the hospitality sector, launching boutique brand Brama Hotels.

She also cofounded growth consultancy Little Red Donkey in 2018, helping brands scale across the UK and Europe through operational strategy advice and deployment of operational excellence.

Baker said in a statement: "From our first meeting, I knew Alexandra had the drive, expertise and passion to lead Mantle Space through its next phase. She quickly understood our vision and recognised our emphasis on building long-term communities, both within our membership and in our own team.

"With some new developments already in the pipeline, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the business."

Livesey added: “Alignment of vision, energy and passion for the industry and its people is very important to me. I’ve found this in abundance when meeting first with Guy and then the entire senior leadership team. Mantel Space opened its first centre at Stansted in 2007 and has expanded to operate eight centres in the South East. It recently increased its 95 Regent Street footprint in Cambridge, growing it to more than 22,000 square feet.
