San Diego Apartment Developers Are Spreading Out

Over the past decade, only once has the number of apartment units under construction exceeded 10,000 units in the San Diego multifamily market, and that was at the beginning of 2021. After a spate of deliveries last year added 5,000 market-rate units to San Diego’s apartment inventory, the pipeline has returned to more normative levels of 8,000 units.
