Omaha, Nebraska's labor market is showing resilience, gaining 5,400 jobs, or 1.1%, year over year in August, according to the most recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS. Omaha’s total nonfarm payroll gains nearly double the average annual growth witnessed in August from 2015 to 2017.
