Avison Young has made a major new hire in Toronto as it moves to bolster its client relationships team.
The brokerage said Nick Chung joined as a principal and senior director of corporate accounts. In this new role, Chung will be in charge of a global office-occupier portfolio spanning more than 300 locations across more than 30 countries and multiple service lines, including transaction management, lease administration, project management, and workplace strategy, Avison Young said.
Chung "will provide strategic oversight to deliver real estate solutions that help realize key business outcomes,” said Keith Knox, Avison Young's president of global occupier services, in a statement.
A 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Chung's focus has been corporate portfolio strategy, account and transaction management, as well as project management across the Asia-Pacific region and North America.
Chung spent the previous 11-and-a-half years at JLL, first as a transaction management hub leader in Shanghai, China, and then as a senior vice president of commercial real estate integrated portfolio services in Toronto. Before that, he worked at Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield in Asia.
