Layoffs Disproportionately Affect Office Sector in Sacramento

Layoff notifications in Sacramento have continued to stack up, reaching 3,300 over the past year. So far a disproportionate number, half of the total layoffs, were announced by firms that primarily occupy office space in the market. Industrial firms in the area accounted for one-third of the layoff total for the market, and retail users tally less than 600 of the job losses.
