Nottingham City Council and the Greater Broadmarsh Advisory Group have appointed "starchitect" Thomas Heatherwick's Heatherwick Studio and Stories, the self-styled "socially responsible" development company, to work up plans for a 20-acre site in the centre of Nottingham that includes the now derelict former intu Broadmarsh Shopping Centre.
