Infinium Logistics, the European asset management and energy transition specialist, has hired former Amazon manager Cheryl Perry to help with the development of large-scale electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Joining as its senior development manager, a new role, Infinium Logistics has said Perry is joining as it "embarks on a crucial phase of asset development and customer engagement".

She spent just under three years at Amazon, according to her LinkedIn profile, where she was responsible for developing its electric vehicle off-site van storage solutions across the UK and Ireland, in addition to managing other construction projects.

Before her time at Amazon, she held project roles in both local and national government, NHS Trusts and private sector infrastructure development, which Infinium says "demonstrates her adaptability and excellence across various industries".

Perry has around 20 years’ project management experience and is "renowned for her dynamic leadership and ability to navigate complex business transformations". "Her expertise in managing diverse project portfolios and her skill in stakeholder management are crucial to Infinium's growth ambitions," the company added in a statement.

Perry said: "This is an opportunity to enact tangible step-change not only for Infinium but also for the businesses in need of this infrastructure, which in turn will deliver a real benefit to the world around us. I'm keen to move forward at pace, forging partnerships with like-minded businesses, so that through collaboration we can develop sites fit for future commercial fleets."

Having secured its first five assets in the UK and with active pipeline across Europe, the firm's focus for this year is on the development and delivery of its EV charging infrastructure. The firm launched its FleetHubs property investment platform in 2022 to develop charging assets for global fleets.

Phil Bayliss, Infinium Logistics CEO, added: "Having raised significant capital to invest in this important new asset class and made strong progress in acquiring strategic sites, we are now focused on development and connecting with our customer strategies.

"Cheryl's extensive experience in development and EV charging infrastructure will greatly advance our mission to create enduring infrastructure that benefits businesses and the planet."
