Losses Surpass Those During the Great Recession

Office demand in the U.S. is at its lowest level in nearly 20 years. Tenants are shedding space at a record clip, and losses have now eclipsed the total from the Great Recession. While the long-term future of office demand is still up for debate, economic stress, the course of the pandemic and the success of working from home have office occupiers reducing their space.
