Newmark has tapped Shipley Hall as the group’s new executive managing director in Miami, helping drive the brokerage’s growth across the southeastern United States.
Hall plans to leverage his 20 years of experience in the office sector to advise owners, occupiers and developers as the office market shifts across the wider region. He most recently served as the founder and managing partner of Swan Commercial Advisors and helped clients with complex deals across Florida.
In his career, Hall has overseen over $4 billion in transactions across more than 7 million square feet of office assets in Florida’s major markets.
“Shipley is one of Florida’s most accomplished and trusted office experts, with a track record that speaks for itself,” said Ran Holman, executive vice president and Southeast market leader for Newmark, in the firm’s statement.
Hall’s work includes institutional ownership, tenant and landlord representation, portfolio strategy, asset management and design-driven repositioning. Prior to launching Swan in 2024, he served in senior leadership roles at Parkway Properties and Cousins Properties.
Miami-Dade County’s economic development partnership worked with more than 100 companies last year to expand or relocate to the region. It’s part of a wider shift as companies and new residents migrate to the Southeast, said Elizabeth Hart, Newmark’s president of leasing for North America, in the statement.
“Florida and the broader Southeast are undergoing a realignment in how office space is used, invested in and valued,” Hart said.
Newmark’s Miami office is in the city’s financial district in the Sabadell Financial Centre.
