Berkadia appointed Blake Okland as chief revenue officer. In his new role, Okland will be responsible for client growth, relationships and leading the strategic direction of Berkadia’s investment sales and mortgage banking platforms, the company said. Okland brings nearly three decades of experience in multifamily capital markets, mortgage banking and investment sales sectors to the position, and previously held leadership roles at Cushman & Wakefield, Greystone, Newmark and ARA throughout his career.
At Berkadia, he reports to Hilary Provinse, executive vice president of production and capital markets, and serves on the firm’s management committee.
Gian Rodriguez joined Chicago-based Kurv Industrial, formerly known as Bridge Industrial, as the firm’s Miami market officer. The Miami native will lead Kurv’s continued growth in the region, bringing nearly two decades of experience to the role, Kurv said. Rodriguez, who previously served as a senior managing director at CBRE, succeeds the retiring Kevin Carroll, who will remain for the near term to ensure a smooth transition.
Cushman & Wakefield hired Benjamin Westrich to serve as the commercial real estate services company’s head of forecasting. The 14-year U.S. Army veteran now leads the firm’s forecasting capabilities across the Americas. He also will work on the ongoing integration of the firm’s econometric modeling, machine learning and emerging artificial intelligence platforms and oversee the models and systems that support the firm's economic outlooks and predictive analytics, Cushman & Wakefield said. He joined the firm from EcoMetricx, where he served as chief technology officer.
Winter Park, Florida-based real estate development and investment firm Hillpointe promoted Amanda Sistrand to vice president of corporate and event marketing; Jessica Gooden to vice president of property, marketing, startup & preleasing operations; and Tyler Garner to vice president of brand and creative.
Hillpointe said Sistrand will lead corporate marketing initiatives and event programs, and Gooden will serve as the strategic lead for the launch of Pointe Grand communities. Garner will lead the firm’s brand strategy.
Colliers added Justin Arzi as a senior vice president on its New York capital markets team. With nearly a decade of experience, he will work alongside Dylan Kane and Zach Redding. Arzi will be added to multiple notable sales immediately, the company said. He joined Colliers from CBRE capital markets, where he worked as a vice president.
Kaitlyn Rausse joined Newmark as the group’s senior managing director in the real estate services firm's Washington, D.C. office. She will work alongside Doug Mueller and Ed Clark as a leader of Newmark's agency leasing business across the Washington and mid-Atlantic regions, the firm said. Rausse brings more than 15 years of experience specializing in office leasing and asset strategy, she joined Newmark from Carr Properties.
Jakob Nicholls joined Bethesda, Maryland-based commercial real estate advisory firm Greysteel as managing director of its Northwest capital markets team. Based in Seattle, he will lead the group that focuses on office and industrial investment sales. He joined Greysteel from Newmark, where he served as managing director and partner on the firm’s West Coast capital markets team.
