Knight Frank has added to its commercial valuations team in Scotland with the recruitment of experienced surveyor Thomas Morton as an associate.
Morton adds around a decade of experience to the Knight Frank team and joins the independent commercial property consultancy from Lambert Smith Hampton, where he was an associate director.
Prior to that, he spent circa seven years at JLL, progressing from a graduate surveyor to associate, having begun his career in tax roles with KPMG.
"Thomas’s skills in commercial property valuation complement Knight Frank’s existing team, providing support on a broad range of commercial property assets, including offices, retail, industrials, and trading businesses," the firm said.
Morton will be based in the Glasgow office and will work with the company's clients across Scotland, as well as the firm’s teams in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
John Rae, head of office at Knight Frank Glasgow, said in a statement: "Thomas is a great addition to our team, bringing more experience and senior support to our existing valuations and advisory capabilities. He will play an important part in developing our core commercial valuations offering across Scotland and helping to further grow the team.
"Our valuations division continues to go from strength to strength, with the trading business specialism led by William Rankine a particular success in recent years."
Knight Frank made Simon Capaldi its head of Glasgow office agency in the summer, having worked in the firm's Edinburgh office since 2013. He was made a partner four years ago.
