Los Angeles has long been known as one of the nation's most expensive locations to rent an apartment. With average asking rents of just over $2,200 per month, the market is one of the 10 most expensive locations in the country among markets with over 100,000 units. Rents here are over 30% above the national average of $1,650 per month.
