Harworth extends further into West Midlands with Shropshire power station buy

Harworth Group has bought the 350-acre former Ironbridge coal-fired power station in Shropshire for an undisclosed sum as it grows its strategic regeneration landbank out from its Northern and East Midlands stomping grounds further into the West Midlands.

Harworth, which span out of the legacy property business of UK Coal, has been pursuing a successful 'beds and sheds' development strategy across its sites in recent years, often former legacy colliery sites with good historic rail connectivity, and reinvesting capital in similar development opportunities.
