Victory Hotel Partners, a Denver-based real estate investment company, named co-founder Greg Mount as its first CEO on Tuesday, according to a company news release.

The company also named co-founder Gary Sims as CEO of its subsidiary, Hay Creek Hotels & Restaurants — an upscale, independent full-service lodging and dining company.

Victory Hotel Partners — which was formed in June 2021 by hotel executives, investment bankers and capital partners — has served without an official CEO up until this point. Mount was previously the president and CEO of Red Lion Hotels Corporation from 2014 to 2019.

“Coming on board full time as CEO of the company I formed with long-term partner, Gary Sims, has been a lifelong dream come to fruition. Forming this under the direst of circumstances, I am beyond grateful to this team that pressed on during the pandemic, helping us achieve enormous growth in such a short time. Our approach from the beginning has been purposeful and strategic and we will continue that approach into this new year,” Mount said in the news release.

Sims, who had been serving as the chief operating officer for Hay Creek Hotels, is replacing Norman MacLeod, who will remain on as chairman.

“It’s been my great fortune to have worked with the Hay Creek team for over two years as their COO and I am proud to continue the great legacy that Norman MacLeod has built in the independent and boutique hotel space as the new CEO,” Sims said in the news release.

Hay Creek Hotels added four hotels in June, expanding its portfolio to 34 properties. The new additions are The Stonebreaker in Fayetteville, Arkansas; Wilbur Mansion in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Lodge at Schroon Lake in Schroon Lake, New York; and Horizon Hotel in Queens, New York.
