The Malin, a hospitality-driven workspace company, has signed a 19,400-square-foot lease at 10 Astor Place in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood, taking the entire fifth floor of the seven-story building owned by GFP Real Estate.

Beginning in 2021 with a single coworking space, The Malin has grown into one of the fastest-expanding workspace operators in the country. Founded by Ciarán McGuigan, the company plans to convert the entire floor into a design-forward workspace featuring private offices, dedicated desks, meeting rooms and hospitality-oriented amenities.

The building at 10 Astor Place is a neo-Grecian structure designed by architect Griffith Thomas and constructed in 1876 as a factory and printing office.

The Malin will also redesign the building's lobby, extending its signature aesthetic beyond the leased floor. The workspace will sit directly above a fitness amenity in the building.

The lease carries a 15-year term, with occupancy expected in the first quarter of 2027 following completion of the tenant's custom buildout.

For the record

David Kaye and Neith Stone of GFP Real Estate represented the ownership in house. John Mears of Rue represented The Malin.
